Opportunities in Data Processing
There is more to data processing than what meets the eye. If you think that a career in data processing is not good enough for you, you may want to reconsider. Data processing includes the following processes: data aggregation, data validation, data tabulation, data mining, and data analysis. You can be sure that there is a career growth in this kind of profession.
Let’s say you start at data entry. A data entry clerk’s main task is to encode hand-written or printed records into a computer and save it as a company file. A classic example is the data entry clerk working in a mailing company. He or she types information such as new addresses or reference numbers of mails which were not received. This may seem like a job for secretaries but this can be your stepping stone to a higher position.
If you are equipped with the knowledge needed in making accurate analysis, then you can say goodbye to your data entry clerk job. You can be a data analyst and the company will need your expertise to explain how the trends can affect the business in the next five years.
After being a data entry clerk and a data analyst, you may as well try your hand at being a data processing director. A data processing director is mostly responsible in supervising data analysts and in handing out the tasks. If you have two to three years of experience in the data processing industry, being a data processing director is highly possible.
